Ceramic Workshops
Japanese Kurinuki Pottery
Kurinuki is a traditional Japanese pottery technique that involves carving out clay instead of building up the form. This allows for unique and intricate designs that are not achievable with other pottery techniques. In our Kurinuki workshops, we teach you the skills and techniques to create beautiful and functional pieces of pottery using this ancient method.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced potter, our workshops are designed to help you explore your creativity and develop your skills. Join us for a fun and rewarding experience at Gilgamesh Art Cafe.
What’s included in the price?
– An introduction to the art of Kurinuki and Wabi Sabi
-Detailed instruction on clay preparation, carving techniques, and glazing and firing.
– The use of tools and all materials plus plenty of refreshments and snacks throughout the day!
At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind ceramic piece that you can proudly display in your home or gift to a loved one. Join us for a fun and creative experience, and unleash your inner artist with our Kurinuki workshop!
