Our pottery classes in Amman cover everything you can make with clay without a wheel — mugs, bowls, jewellery trays, ashtrays, paint palettes, sculpture. You decide what to make and we guide you through it, in a 1930s heritage house in Jabal Al-Lweibdeh.
Make whatever you want to make
This is the most open-ended workshop we run. Some people arrive knowing exactly what they want; most do not, and we help them decide. Past sessions have produced everything from simple bowls to sculpture busts.
Suitable for absolutely everyone
All ages, all skill levels, and no experience assumed. It is the session we most often recommend for families, first-timers, and anyone who is nervous about being “not artistic”.

Prefer a different way into clay? Try Japanese Kurinuki (carving a solid block), Raku (flame-fired, take it home the same day) or Pottery Painting (paint a ready-made piece). All pottery workshops can be given as a gift voucher.
Questions
Can we come as a couple?
Yes. A couple can make one shared piece together or one each, and pottery makes a lovely hands-on date night. See our couples workshops page.
When can I collect my piece?
Your piece has to dry, then be glazed and fired, so you collect it later — usually about seven days. If you are short on time, tell us. We will fire and glaze your piece in two to three days at no extra charge; visitors with only a few days in Jordan regularly collect finished work before they fly home.
What can I actually make?
Mugs, bowls, plates, jewellery trays, ashtrays, paint palettes, small sculpture — anything achievable by hand in the session. We will help you pick something realistic for the time you have.
Is this suitable for children?
Yes. Hand-building is our most family-friendly workshop and works for all ages.
Can I use my piece for food and drink?
Yes, if glazed appropriately. Tell us what you plan to use it for and we will use the right glaze.
Do you use a pottery wheel?
This session is hand-building only. Ask us if you would specifically like wheel throwing and we will advise on availability.
How much does the pottery workshop cost?
25 JOD per person, including clay, tools and glazes, the firing and glazing of your piece, and snacks with coffee and tea.
Is the workshop taught in English?
Yes. We teach in English or Arabic.
How do I book, and when can I come?
We are open daily from 2 PM to 2 AM, and the last session starts at 1 AM. Earlier times are possible if you book at least 12 hours ahead. Book online or on WhatsApp (+962 79 809 8773).
